If your schedule is flexible, my nurse practitioner or I can generally see you within several days of calling the office. If you have an urgent problem, we will try to see you the same day. If you have HMO insurance or otherwise require a referral, we can see you after you have obtained a referral number from your primary care physician. You will need this authorization number when you book your appointment. If you have PPO insurance, no referral is needed. If you have POS (point of service) insurance, please check with your insurance company prior to setting up your appointment. Some POS plans have benefits similar to PPO plans, while others are like an HMO, and require a referral to be seen. It is your responsibility to obtain this referral prior to scheduling your appointment. We cannot schedule an appointment without a valid referral. Most Medicare patients do not require a referral. However, if you have a Medicare Advantage plan, or a similar replacement plan for Medicare, a referral may be required.
We look forward to seeing you!
