Welcome to my office. As a board certified gastroenterologist, I have provided comprehensive gastroenterology care for my patients since 1992. Since I am in solo practice, every patient sees me, or my nurse practitioner, Ashley Roberts, NP–C. New patients spend 45 minutes with me, and follow up patients, 15-30 minutes. This is not a high-volume practice, and I deliver personal individualized care. I have been recognized by D Magazine as one of their "Best Doctors" every year since 2009, and I strive to provide excellent care and service.

Office hours are from 9:00 - 4:00 Monday through Thursday, and from 9:00 - 2:00 on Friday. The phones are answered between 9 AM and closing daily. Calls received after hours and on weekends/ holidays are answered the next business day. Urgent calls are handled by me or my "on call" colleague. The office is located in the Bank of America Building, on the northwest corner of Greenville Avenue and Walnut Hill Lane. There is free parking behind the building. Appointments can be made online, or by calling the office during normal business hours.

Most major insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield , Medicare, United Healthcare, Cigna, Baylor Scott and White, Humana, PHCS, and MultiPlan are accepted. My office will work with you if I am not on your insurance plan, or you lack insurance. I participate on most HMO and PPO plans, and also participate with several Medicare Advantage plans. Click here for a more complete list of plans accepted.

If you have PPO insurance, no referral is needed.

If you have HMO /POS/ EPO insurance, or otherwise require a referral, we can see you after you have obtained a referral number from your primary care physician. We cannot schedule an appointment without a valid referral. You will need this authorization number when you book your appointment.

Most Medicare patients do not need a referral. However, if you have a Medicare Advantage plan or a similar replacement plan for Medicare, a referral may be required.

Please visit the rest of my website for information regarding common gastrointestinal disorders, endoscopic procedures, and for links which you may find useful. I look forward to seeing you.
