Welcome to my office. As a board certified Gastroenterologist, I have provided comprehensive care for my patients since 1992. Since I am in solo practice, every patient sees me, personally. New patients spend 45 minutes with me, and follow up patients 15 minutes. This is not a high volume practice, and I deliver personal individualized care.
Most major insurance plans, including Aetna, Multiplan, PHCS, Cigna, Humana, Blue Cross, and United HealthCare are accepted. My office will work with you if I am not on your insurance plan, or you lack insurance. The office is located across the street from Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, on the northwest corner of Greenville Avenue and Walnut Hill Lane. There is free parking behind the building. Office hours are from 08:15 - 4:30 Monday through Friday. The phones are answered between 9:00 - 4:00. The office is closed for lunch between 12:45 and 1:45 daily. Calls received after hours, and on weekends/holidays are answered the next business day. Urgent calls are handled by me, or my "on call" colleague.
Office visits are by appointment only. However, if your condition is urgent, we will make every effort to schedule you as soon as possible. If you need to cancel a confirmed office appointment, please do so a minimum of one full business day (24 hours) prior to your scheduled appointment, or a service charge will be incurred. If you need to cancel a confirmed colonoscopy or endoscopy, please notify the office at least five business days prior to your procedure, or a service charge will be incurred. My office requires that you re-confirm your appointment a minimum of one full day prior to your visit. You will be reminded, by phone, of your visit several days before your appointment. You will have the option to confirm your appointment, or cancel it, at that time. If we are unable to reach you however, and you have not reconfirmed your appointment at least one full business day(24 hours) prior to your office visit , your appointment will be automatically cancelled.
My practice is now accepting new patients. If you have PPO insurance, no referral is needed. If you have HMO coverage, a referral from your primary care physician will be needed prior to scheduling your appointment. If you have POS (point of service) insurance, please check with your insurance company prior to setting up your appointment. Some POS plans have benefits similar to PPO plans, while others are like an HMO, and require that you obtain a referral to be seen. Unfortunately, due to the refusal of Congress to enact a permanent law regarding Medicare funding, I am no longer accepting new Medicare patients.
To facilitate communication between me and my patients, I have provided an online portal. If you are a new patient, please go to my Patient Portal, and fill out the the forms in the new patient packet. These include your health history, demographic information and financial policies. If you are unable to fill out these forms online, my office can mail these forms to you. I strongly encourage you to complete these forms online, however, as this will help ensure the accuracy of your medical record, and maximize the time you have with me at the time of your appointment.
Payment of co-pays, coinsurance and deductibles is required at the time of your appointment. We accept MasterCard, VISA, personal checks and cash. A detailed explanation of our billing policy is provided in the "Financial Policy" form.
Please visit the rest of my website for information regarding common gastrointestinal disorders and diets, endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy and endoscopy, and for links which you may find useful. I have even added a bit of humor. Finally, be sure to visit the Patient Portal, where you can communicate with me and my staff, and manage many aspects of your health care.
