Here are additional resources you may find useful. I have included different kinds of sites including academic, governmental, and commercial sites. Inclusion in this list does not necessarily represent an endorsement of these sites, nor the recommendations made by them. These links are provided for educational purposes only. The medical information provided is meant to help you understand numerous gastrointestinal diseases, but should not be used to diagnose or treat specific diseases.

UpToDate: UpToDate is an online medical information resource where patients can go to learn about a medical condition, better understand management and treatment options, and find information to have a better dialogue with their physicians. UpToDate is used by the majority of academic medical centers in the United States, and many clinicians worldwide. I have found this to be one of the most useful resources for my patients.

NIDDK: National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. This is an excellent resource to get an overview of many common gastrointestinal disorders.

ACG: American College of Gastroenterology. Many gastrointestinal disorders are reviewed here. This is another good starting point for many patients.

ALF: American Liver Foundation

CDF: Celiac Disease Foundation

CCFA: Crohn's and Colitis Foundation

NHS: National Health Service{ United Kingdom).
